Microneedling

What is Microneedling?

Collagen pinMicroneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that treats patients with acne scarring, stretch marks, fine lines, deep wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. Microneedling is a method of inducing a controlled injury into the skin’s dermal and epidermal layers which generates growth factors, new collagen and elastin. Microneedling provides dramatic results by stimulating natural repair mechanisms, thereby promoting new skin cells to surface.

Your medical provider will use a sterile, disposable needle cartridge that holds either 12 or 36 micro needles that will glide across the skin mechanically inducing micro injury to the epidermis.

The 12 or 36 needles during treatment will create micro channels inducing a controlled injury thereby naturally stimulating collagen giving way to healthier, younger looking skin.

Who can be treated and on what area of the body?

Microneedling can safely treat all skin types. Most areas of the body can be treated unless decided otherwise by your medical provider.
